Mr. Mahesh Chhabria has navigated the fields of investment banking, private equity and corporate governance during his more than three-decade-long tenure in the financial services industry and is a dedicated, focused and accomplished professional in the financial services industry.

Mr. Mahesh Chhabria is currently the Managing Director of Kirloskar Industries Ltd. (KIL). Mr. Mahesh Chhabria’s journey includes pivotal roles such as being a Partner at Actis , where he was responsible for advising Actis Global LLP, a leading Private Equity Fund in the emerging market space, to invest their money in growth, capital and buy-out businesses in India.  Mr. Chhabria was previously associated with 3i India, where he was a partner in the firm’s Growth Capital Group and the lead partner globally for the Healthcare Sector, heading up and contributing to 3i investments in India and international markets. Prior to his stint with Private Equity Business, Mr. Chhabria was co-head of investment Banking at Enam, one of the leading domestic investment banks in India. He currently serves as an independent Director on the Boards of ZF Commercial Vehicles and Shoppers Stop.

Known for his strong relationship-building, communication and interpersonal skills, Mr. Mahesh Chabbria has nurtured an extensive network of associates within the financial services, corporate, professional and legal sectors, as well as accounting firms, media  and select regulatory bodies. He is currently the Group Head at Kirloskar for ESG implementation apart from being a Founding Member of the Shared Services business (Kirloskar Management Services Private Ltd.) which is actively involved with Investor Relations, Stakeholder Management, Group Policies and Group Digitisation Efforts.

At the Kirloskar Group, he also oversees Group Strategy, Risk, Mergers & Acquisitions, Fund Raising and Family Office Investing. In the 5 years of association with Kirloskar, he has played multiple roles such as inducting professional CXOs in various companies of the group as well as bringing on board several luminaries as Independent Directors. In addition, he has contributed to putting together and formulating business plans for the two new verticals of the Kirloskar Group Companies, namely, Arka Fincap Ltd., the NBFC arm of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited and Avante Spaces Ltd., the Real Estate business vertical of Kirloskar Industries Limited

With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and being an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mr. Mahesh Chhabria brings a wealth of expertise to the fold.
